Before requesting a job

  • You must meet PocketChange's minimum-age requirement.
  • Workers under 18 must follow the Parent or Guardian requirements configured by PocketChange.
  • Review the complete task, tools, pay, date, time, and safety information.
  • Never accept work that feels unsafe or unclear.
  • Do not share your home address, password, verification codes, school, or private family information.
  • Ask your Parent or Guardian questions before requesting the job.

Before leaving home

  • Wait until your Parent or Guardian has approved the job when approval is required.
  • Confirm the Homeowner selected you.
  • Review the exact address and arrival instructions with your Parent or Guardian.
  • Bring only the approved tools listed for the job.
  • Wear appropriate clothing and protective equipment.
  • Make sure your phone is charged when possible.

At the job

  • Check in through PocketChange when you arrive.
  • Follow only the approved job description.
  • Do not enter private areas that were not included in the job.
  • Do not use prohibited, hazardous, or unfamiliar equipment.
  • Do not accept additional work without updating the job and receiving any required Parent approval.
  • Stop immediately if the environment becomes unsafe.
  • Contact your Parent or Guardian if anything feels wrong.
  • Use emergency services for an immediate emergency.

After the job

  • Check out through PocketChange.
  • Confirm what work was completed.
  • Upload completion photos only when appropriate.
  • Report injuries, unsafe behavior, disputes, or unexpected changes.
  • Never accept off-platform payment if PocketChange requires in-platform payment for the job.

Assigned Young Workers, linked Parents, and Homeowners can use the report form to flag that an active job must stop.

Send a secure report to PocketChange. Reports are not shared with the reported user.
