Parent / Guardian Consent
Last updated: July 25, 2026
pocketchange only allows Young Workers ages 13–17 to use the Service after a Parent or legal Guardian gives verifiable consent by creating a Parent account and linking to their child using the in-app linking code.
By linking to your Young Worker you confirm that
- You are the parent or legal guardian of the linked Young Worker.
- You have read and agree to the Terms and Privacy Policy on your child's behalf.
- You will approve each job before your child performs it, and you accept responsibility for their safety, transportation, and any tax obligations arising from earnings.
- You consent to pocketchange collecting the minimum data needed to run the Service (name, age band, neighborhood, job history, messages related to jobs, and payout information).
- You may withdraw consent at any time by removing the link or deleting your child's account from the Parent Dashboard.
What we do NOT do with your child's information
- We do not sell it.
- We do not use it for targeted advertising or third-party profiling.
- We do not share it with other users beyond what a specific job requires.
State youth-labor rules
You are responsible for confirming that the jobs your child accepts comply with your state's youth-labor laws (permitted tasks, hours, and school-day restrictions). pocketchange enforces a conservative default rule set but does not replace your legal responsibilities.
Payouts
For minors, payouts are routed through the Parent's connected payout account. You are responsible for holding and distributing those funds to your child.
Withdrawing consent
To withdraw consent, unlink your child in the Parent Dashboard or contact Support. Withdrawal immediately disables your child's ability to accept new jobs.
