Parent Controls
A single place to see every safety feature parents get on PocketChange. Nothing is optional — these are always on.
Approval controls
- No job can start until an approved parent says yes.
- Full job preview before you approve: task, address, time, pay, and the homeowner's profile.
- Revoke approval any time before a job starts.
- Up to two approved parents per young worker for shared oversight.
Privacy controls
- Only jobs inside your family's verified neighborhood are visible.
- Homeowner and worker contact details are hidden until a job is confirmed.
- Your young worker's full profile is never shown to homeowners you haven't confirmed with.
Monitoring & notifications
- Real-time alerts when a job is requested, approved, started, or completed.
- In-app messaging kept on the platform for review.
- Full job history and payout ledger in your Parent Dashboard.
Work-hour rules
PocketChange enforces youth work-hour rules by age. Workers 14–15 can't be booked during school hours or past evening cutoffs. Rules default to state-level minimums (Texas defaults today) and can be tightened further per family.
Payment controls
- Payouts land in the parent-linked account, not the worker's.
- You choose how earnings are distributed.
- Every payment is escrowed by the homeowner up front, so no cash changes hands in person.
